Sandy, Cheryl and Cristin
The Rocky Mountain Denver Founders  
  • Sandy Floyd has been a member of Gulf Coast Chapter CISV since 1979. She brings many years of CISV experience to the Rocky Mountain Denver.
    She served as leader in 1980-1981 and again in 1994 for Interchanges with Finland and a leader in 1982-1983 for an Interchange with Austria. Her daughter Pam participated in Interchanges with Guatemala and Paris, France and her son Steven participated in Interchanges with Costa Rica and Brazil. Sandy has served as Editor of the National News, a publication of CISV USA and has held that position for 12 years. Sandy has volunteered for many positions in the Gulf Coast Chapter including Secretary and Treasurer and Chairman of numerous committees including Leader Selection, Leadership Training, Village, and Interchange. Sandy has held secretary, treasure and president on the CISV Denver Board.
 
  • Cheryl Rose-Gonzalez became involved in CISV in 1989 as a member of the Knoxville, TN. chapter .  In 1990 Cheryl was selected as a leader to Brazil and her son Gabriel was selected as a village delegate to Australia. She was  the co-planner of a village in Knoxville and was on the chapter's village selection committee. Her husband Greg was "the camp doc" for many CISV villages and daughter Aleah was a young active member in local work. In 1993 Cheryl served as village co-director for the New York chapter.  Cheryl held numerous roles on the CISV Denver board including treasurer, president,village chair,selection and village planner for "Peak's of Peace," RMDenver's first Village.  While in Denver Gabriel has been a leader to Japan & Australia and Greg was a leader to India.
 
  • Cristin Tarr began her experience as a child delegate of a Village in Leeds England in 1974. She also attended a Seminar camp as a youth participant, in Cincinnati, Ohio, 1981. Her parents, Art and Joan Cornell were co-president of Detroit Chapter from 1978-1980. Cristin studied in Belgium for a year and upon graduation worked for American Airlines (AA). She held several positions at AA including, budgets, international marketing and domestic sales manager. As with all the founders, Cristin has worn many hats including; chapter president and local work chair.  She organized two local multicultural minicamps for Denver area youths. She is married and has three young boys.
